Our Mission
We strive to provide local affordable wedding florals and host engaging creative workshop tutorials. Our long-term goal is to open a botanic greenhouse wedding venue. Creating an elegant space where we can curate custom events and host educational activities for the community that highlight the importance of healthy plant life and sustainable practices is our dream.
Who is The Honest Botanist?
Lauren
Is, in all honesty, not a botanist yet. She is working towards becoming one though. Lauren has a Certificate in Horticulture with a focus in Natural Landscape Management from Guelph University and is working on her Diploma with a focus in Urban Agriculture. Then she plans to get a Degree in Botany earning the name,
The Honest Botanist.
Lauren has worked in florals & events for over 15 years, working on large corporate holiday events, weekly high-end corporate floral & plant installations, weddings of all sizes, large funeral services and government memorial functions.
Lauren has grand aspirations to build this business into something spectacular that she can share with her community. This is only the beginning.
